We can't deny COVID drastically changed our lives. However, one of the good things that came out of the pandemic is that it gave the student the power to choose how to approach the college admission process.

Thanks to COVID, colleges explored the world of test-optional or test-blind, essentially allowing students to submit SAT or ACT scores or not submit them at all. The decision that colleges took gave students the power to decide how standardized testing would be in their respective journeys.

The truth is that we have students who choose colleges that don't require testing and get admitted! And we also have students that decide to include standardized testing. There is no "right" or "wrong" way; the student's college list determines the need to include standardized testing in your plan.

So, if you are considering to TAKE or NOT TO TAKE the SAT/ACT, know that you have options and the power to make the best choice for yourself.

The start of a new year is always an exciting time. It's a time to celebrate the successes of the past year and to look forward to the possibilities of the future. More importantly, it's a time to believe in yourself and the possibilities in your future.

We encourage you to identify what you want to achieve this year, next year, or even in five years. You will have clarity, create a plan, and set boundaries by doing so. What you decide now will help you distinguish what will help or deter you from achieving your goals.

No matter whatever goals you choose to pursue, remember you have what it takes to make it happen. It's your year to shine!
